If the exam was interrupted because the PC restarted, the ability to reschedule and reuse the voucher depends on how Pearson VUE and the exam delivery system recorded the incident.
From the policy:
- Exam appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours before the scheduled time; otherwise, the fee or voucher is forfeited.
- If an appointment is missed (no‑show) without proper notice, the voucher or fee is normally forfeited.
Because this was a technical issue during the exam (not a normal cancellation/no‑show), support must review the specific case and determine whether the voucher can be reinstated or a free reschedule can be granted.
Action steps:
- Sign in to the Learn profile used to schedule the exam and check the exam status under Profile → Credentials → Certifications.
- If the exam shows as incomplete/issue, contact Pearson VUE support or Microsoft Certification Support and explain that the PC restarted during the AZ‑104 exam. Provide the exam date/time and any incident IDs shown.
- Ask explicitly whether the voucher can be reinstated or a new appointment can be scheduled at no additional cost.
Only Pearson VUE/Microsoft Certification Support can confirm whether the voucher from that specific booking can be reused.
