A cloud-based identity and access management service for securing user authentication and resource access
The error indicates that the browser cannot successfully call the required backend APIs in the Entra portal, typically because of network, DNS, firewall, or browser-extension interference.
To troubleshoot and mitigate:
- Open an InPrivate/Incognito window in Microsoft Edge or another browser and sign in to the Entra portal again. Try the same Authentication (Preview) operation and see if the error reproduces.
- Temporarily disable all browser extensions, then reload the Entra portal and retry. Extensions (including ad blockers or privacy tools) can block or modify API calls.
- Try from a different browser, another machine, or a different user session to determine whether the issue is specific to one client.
- Check for DNS or other network issues on the client device (corporate proxy, VPN, or firewall rules that might block calls to Microsoft APIs). If possible, test from another network (for example, a mobile hotspot) to compare behavior.
- If the problem persists, capture a browser network trace while reproducing the error and open a support case from the Azure portal so the trace and correlation ID can be analyzed.
These steps align with general guidance for portal connectivity issues where the browser cannot reach required APIs or receives failure responses.
