Spoofed Email with no Report or Block Button

In Outlook.com or Outlook on the web, the spoofed/phishing message can be reported directly from the message list even if the classic “Report” add‑in button is not visible in the ribbon.

To report the message as phishing in Outlook.com:

1. In the message list, select the threatening/suspicious message.
2. Above the reading pane, select Report > Report phishing.
   • This sends the message details to Microsoft for analysis and helps improve filters.

Note:

• Reporting a message as phishing does not block the sender by itself. To stop further messages from that sender, add the address to the blocked senders list as described in “Block senders or mark email as junk in Outlook.com”.
• Outlook’s Spoof intelligence and anti‑phishing protection will also analyze and filter similar spoofed messages going forward.

If the message is part of a broader tech‑support or extortion scam, it can also be reported as a scam to Microsoft at the security response center link in the documentation: https://msrc.microsoft.com/report/
