When clicking Submit on the PL-300 scheduling page and it does not redirect to Pearson VUE, the most common cause described is a Pearson VUE account block, especially if there have been multiple failed payment attempts in the past. This can surface as an “unexpected error” or a failure to proceed from the Microsoft Learn scheduling flow to Pearson VUE.
To resolve this:
- Verify that all required fields (legal name, address, phone, email) are completed correctly on the Learn scheduling form, and that the legal name matches the ID that will be used for the exam.
- If the Submit button still does not take the page to Pearson VUE, contact certification support so they can check whether Pearson VUE has blocked the account (for example, due to multiple failed payments) and coordinate with Pearson VUE to lift the block.
- Use the support channel indicated for exam scheduling issues rather than Pearson VUE general support, so the case can be routed correctly.
For PL-300 specifically, scheduling is done via Pearson VUE from the exam or certification detail page, and all scheduling, rescheduling, and launching of online exams is managed from the Learn profile once the Pearson VUE handoff is working.
