MS Store Refund

I wanted to try an app (PhotoCull) from the Store and didn't like it so I'd like a refund. Unfortunately, there is no Refund button in my Order History. The vendor says they offer a 30-day trial and said I shouldn't have been charged and any refunds would be handled by Microsoft.

For Microsoft Store apps like PhotoCull, refunds are handled by Microsoft, not the app vendor. If there is no Refund button in Order history, use the Xbox/Microsoft Store refund flow for games and apps:

    1. Go to the Xbox support page to Request a refund for digital games and sign in: https://support.xbox.com/help/subscriptions-billing/buy-games-apps/refund-orders
    2. Select the PhotoCull purchase from the list.
    3. Choose Request a refund.
    4. Provide the reason (for example, that the app was supposed to be a 30‑day trial and you were charged) and select Next.
    5. Review the details and select Submit.

Refund requests can take up to 72 hours to process. Status can be checked on the Refund status tab on that page, or on the Xbox order history page (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2196141) where the product entry will show the refund status.

If the online refund option is not available in the region (no way to submit the request), contact Microsoft Store Sales support directly for assistance with the charge: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/help-with-microsoft-store-purchases-4f615f2a-6bbd-fd69-6695-ae213d63eef0.

If a refund is approved but the money is not yet visible on the payment method, allow 3–5 business days for the bank or card provider to complete processing.
