1-Time Office 2024 purchase was completed, downloaded, and now says "No License Found"

I completed the one-time purchase of Microsoft Office 2024 for my Mac computer. It is linked to my Outlook account, and I have downloaded and installed it. But, when I try to use any of the Office 2024 programs, a yellow pop up shows "activate Microsoft 365 to create and edit" - when I click the 'activate' button, it asks me to log into my Microsoft account. I try logging into it, and it says "No License Found".
Why is the one-time download prompting me to buy a subscription to Microsoft 365 in order to use the Office 2024 programs? Is there any way to solve this issue, since I paid the one-time fee, and now it is saying I can't use the program?

2026-03-06T22:39:40.7066667+00:00 I deleted all copies of the microsoft office 2024 programs, downloaded it again, and re-installed it. Originally on the mac, I had clicked "install for all users of this mac". That didn't work. But, when I downloaded it to the hard drive, then it activated when i opened it. The login worked, and the license was found. problem solved.
