I was just charged on 2/27 for a realm subscription, in game it is saying the realm is expired. How do I fix this?

Use the Microsoft account dashboard to verify that the charge and the active subscription are correctly associated with the same account used in Minecraft, then investigate the charge and contact support if needed.

    1. Confirm the charge and subscription status
      • Sign in to Services & subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services.
      • Check that the Realm/Minecraft subscription shows as active, not expired or past due.
      • If it shows as past due, follow the steps in Pay for a past-due Microsoft subscription to clear any payment issue and reactivate it.
    2. Make sure the correct Microsoft account is used
      • If the subscription looks fine but the Realm shows as expired in-game, the game might be signed in with a different Microsoft/Xbox account than the one that was charged.
      • Compare the gamertag/account shown in Minecraft with the account that shows the active subscription under Services & subscriptions.
      • Sign out in Minecraft and sign back in with the account that has the active subscription.
    3. Investigate the billing charge
      • If the charge appears on the bank/credit card statement but the subscription does not show as active under Services & subscriptions, go to the Manage your payments page from the Microsoft account dashboard and select Investigate next to the charge to see what it was for and which account used it. Details are in How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft.
    4. If the game still shows the Realm as expired
      • After confirming the subscription is active and the correct account is used, and the Realm still appears expired, use the Get Help/Contact support flow from the Microsoft support site or the Xbox/Microsoft account support channel to have the billing and entitlement checked and corrected.

If the charge is recent and the Realm cannot be used or was duplicated on the wrong account, a refund may be possible following the guidance in How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription (see referenced articles below) once the charge is identified.
