File download Method in Copilot

Until last week, the files created by Copilot were available as direct download links (blob). However, starting this week, they are redirecting to a SharePoint/OneDrive file URL and opening in the browser instead. Do you know if Microsoft has changed this download method, or if there is any specific configuration available to roll back this behavior?

This is happening across Copilot in the Web App and Office apps—basically from all Copilot access points. The problem is that every time the file is downloaded via the SharePoint URL, it is governed by our DLP policies. As a result, the user initiating the download gets triggered by the compliance policies we have configured, which is quite annoying.
