Hello Microsoft Support Team, I am a Microsoft Certified Professional since 2006. I have my physical MCP card, but I no longer have access to the original email associated with it. I would like to link my old certifications to my current Microsoft Learn profile

Legacy MCP IDs and the retired Certification Profile cannot be used directly anymore. Certification data is now surfaced through the Microsoft Learn profile.

To get legacy certifications associated with the current Learn profile and visible in one place, the supported path is:

    1. Sign in to the current Microsoft Learn profile at the Learn profile page: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/users/me/.
    2. Confirm that this is the profile that should hold all certifications going forward (this profile’s unique identifier is the Learn Username found under Settings → Personal info, username and URL).
    3. If there are multiple Learn profiles under different login accounts, merge them so that all learning and certification data is combined:
      • Sign in to one profile.
      • Go to Settings → Login account management → Add login account.
      • Add another login account that was previously used for certifications.
      • If that account is associated with a different Learn profile, this will trigger a profile merge and bring all learning progress and certification data into the signed‑in profile. Merging is permanent and cannot be undone.
    4. If the legacy certifications still do not appear after confirming the correct profile and performing any needed merges, contact the dedicated credentials support team so they can investigate and, where possible, associate historical certification records with the current Learn profile:
      • Go to Credentials Support: https://www.aka.ms/credentialssupport
      • Sign in with the current Learn profile account.
      • Complete the required fields and submit a support request, including:
        • Current Learn Username.
        • Legacy MCP ID (for example, 3670790).
        • Any details from the physical MCP card and approximate dates/exams.

Support can review historical records and advise what legacy certifications can be surfaced in the modern Learn profile. Note that some older certifications may have aged out of the program and may no longer appear in customer profiles.

Once associated, all active certifications, passed exams, and other credentials will be visible under Profile → Transcript and Profile → Credentials → Certifications in the Learn profile.
