    Hello Teresa Wasnock
Thank you for posting question to Microsoft Q&A Forum.

May I know if you've followed the instruction given by Q&A Assist? Especially the second one?
Please follow this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/uninstall-skype-for-business-28c4a036-7f22-406c-b7f4-87894cbaf902 at the second part.

It could be possible that your Skype for Business is integrated with the other Office apps - you might need to uninstall the Office Suite. I do not recommend this part if you are already having the licensed version Office apps within your computer. The first part of the given article above should be my suggestion in case you would like to have this application not automatically opening when turning on your computer.

Please share with me your update once you check my suggestions.

Skype for Business is often installed as part of Microsoft 365/Office and may not appear as a separate app in some views. Use these steps to stop it popping up and, if possible, remove it.

    1. First, stop it starting automatically
      • Open Skype for Business when it pops up.
      • Select the tools icon → ToolsOptions.
      • Select Personal.
      • Clear Automatically start the app when I log on to Windows and Start the app in the foreground.
      • Select OK.
      • Select FileExit.
This prevents it from launching every time Windows starts.
    2. Try to uninstall Skype for Business
      • Open Control Panel.
      • Go to ProgramsPrograms and FeaturesUninstall or change a program.
      • Look for Skype for Business in the list.
      • If it appears, select it and choose Uninstall, then follow the prompts.
    3. If Skype for Business is not listed
      • If Skype for Business does not appear in Programs and Features, it is likely integrated into the Microsoft 365/Office suite.
      • In that case, it cannot be removed separately; the only way to remove it completely is to uninstall Office itself, which also removes Word, Excel, etc.
      • If uninstalling Office is not desired, leave Office installed and rely on step 1 so Skype for Business no longer starts or bothers you.
