MSN NEWS APP ON SMARTPHONE WITH BOGUS VIDEOS

I enjoy reading MSN News from the app on my phone. However, for the past several weeks, each time there is a scrolling news item that has a video, the video does not work and shows something completely and totally unrelated.

Obviously, there is a glitch in your system, so I figured I would be patient and wait for it to be fixed. This has been going on now for at least 3 weeks. I never had a problem before until MSN did a system update. Even the selection of news items is stale, where upon there were many more news items offered before than they are now. Plus it seems to take a long time before you provide new items. What the heck is going on? Thank you.

MSN content, including videos and article selection, is controlled and moderated by MSN itself and its publishing platform. Issues like incorrect or unrelated videos, stale stories, or slow refresh of items in the MSN News app cannot be diagnosed or fixed from Microsoft Learn Q&A.

For problems with MSN content or the MSN News app experience, the supported path is to send feedback directly to the MSN team from within MSN:

    1. Open an MSN page (or the MSN experience in the app).
    2. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
    3. Select the Feedback link or button.
    4. Describe the issue, including:
      • That videos in the scrolling news items show unrelated content.
      • How long this has been happening.
      • That it started after a recent MSN update.
      • Any details about stale or slow-to-refresh news items.

MSN engineers and moderators review feedback submitted through that channel; Microsoft Learn Q&A and related forums have no control over MSN’s in-app content, feeds, or moderation.

If the problem started after a system or app update on the phone, also ensure the device and browser/app are fully updated, as MSN’s best experience depends on using a supported, up-to-date browser or app version.
