Use the following steps to resolve a missing certification from an exam completed in 2023:
- Confirm you actually earned the certification
- Check the relevant certification or exam details page in the catalog to ensure the exam(s) passed in 2023 are sufficient to earn a certification. Some certifications require multiple exams and the certificate is only issued after all required exams are passed.
- See: Browse all certifications and exams.
- Verify you are using the correct Microsoft Learn account
- Sign out of Microsoft Learn, then sign back in and confirm you are using the same account that was used to register and sit the exam.
- If there might be multiple accounts (personal Microsoft account vs. work/school account), sign in with each and check the Certifications tab in the profile.
- If a congratulations email was received at the time of passing the exam, use the profile link in that email and note which account/profile it opens. If the certification is not visible there, it may have been earned under a different profile.
- Check the Certification Dashboard
- Go to the Certification Dashboard (from the Learn site) and look under:
- Certificates: use “View Certificates” to see if the certificate is available to download.
- Transcript: use “View Transcript” to see if the passed exam and certification appear there.
- If the certification requires more than one exam and not all were passed, no certificate will appear yet.
- Go to the Certification Dashboard (from the Learn site) and look under:
- Consider special cases
- If the exam was taken through Certiport (typically for students/educators), those certifications do not appear in the Microsoft Learn profile. They must be managed and shared from the Certiport account instead.
- Very old/retired (“legacy”) certifications may no longer appear in the Learn profile if they have aged out of the program.
- If the certification still does not appear
- For missing certifications or certificates, open a support request with Microsoft Credentials Support so the certification team can review the exam history and profile mapping and correct any issues.
- Use: Microsoft Credentials Support at https://aka.ms/credentialssupport or the Certification support links provided in the documentation.
If the exam provider (for example, Pearson VUE) confirms the exam was delivered successfully but the result or certificate is still not visible in the Learn profile or Certification Dashboard, Microsoft Credentials Support is the channel that can investigate and fix account, profile-linking, or delivery issues.
