Family Safety is a nuisance and not a fix

I have been trying to get family safety to work for almost a year. After countless hours of chatting with bots, and customer service loops I realize it does not do what it states. It sounds good. But not 1 of the 15 reprsentatives spoke with actually knew how to problem solve. I speak to someome who barely speaks english who just has me repeat the same steps over and over for 45 minutes, or being hung up on, or just pointless hours of troubleshooting that doesn't work. I am so disappointed in this product. The computer is for my kid, its useless if I can't control the websites he can acess. This laptop is a waste of $1200.

These prepopulated responses only cause frustration. What I need isn't there. If you want true feedback why the prepopulated responoses. You people think its ok to take someone's money and provide no service in getting the computer to do what YOU said it would do. You got me, but never again,

It sounds like you are experiencing significant frustration with the Microsoft Family Safety feature, particularly regarding its functionality and the support you have received. Family Safety is designed to help parents manage their children's online activities, including web filtering, activity reporting, and safe search features. However, if these tools are not working as expected, it can indeed be disappointing.

If you are having trouble with web filtering, it's important to ensure that Microsoft Edge is being used as it is currently the only supported browser that provides this functionality within Microsoft Family Safety. Additionally, if you have enabled web filtering, other unsupported browsers will require parental approval before they can be used, which may complicate access for your child.

For ongoing issues, it may be beneficial to reach out to Microsoft support again, ensuring to specify the exact problems you are encountering, as well as any troubleshooting steps you have already taken. This can help in getting more targeted assistance.
