Protection against phishing, malware, and other threats targeting email and collaboration tools in Microsoft 365
If folder names like "Inbox" and "Junk" are appearing in Vietnamese, it may be due to synchronization issues with a mobile device or a third-party server application that connects to your Microsoft Exchange Server mailbox. To resolve this issue, you can try the following methods:
- Reset Default Folder Names Using Outlook:
- Exit Outlook.
- Run
Outlook.exe /resetfolders. - Run
Outlook.exe /resetfoldernames.
- Reset Default Folder Names Using Outlook on the Web:
- Log on to Outlook on the web.
- Go to Settings > View all Outlook settings > General > Language and time.
- Change the language to your preferred language and select the option to rename default folders to match the specified language.
- Save the settings and restart Outlook.
- Using PowerShell Command:
- If you have administrator permissions, you can run the following command in an elevated Command Prompt:
set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -id <alias> -LocalizeDefaultFolderName:$true -Language <Language_code_to_switch_to> -DateFormat <your_preferred_DateFormat>
If these methods do not resolve the issue, you may need to check for any existing folders in your mailbox that may conflict with the default folder names in the new language.
