Trialling Fabric and CoPilot

Hi,

I work for a company that has around 500 employees all of whom have a Power BI Pro License through their E5 365 License. We are looking to try and do a POC using Fabric and Co-Pilot to unlock productivity gains and insights from our data and data team.

Therefore we are looking to invest in Fabric, but initially we don't want to invest in capacity for the whole organisation, we would just like it for a small number of members whilst we trial it.

Firstly, am I right to assume the Fabric Trial functionality does NOT include Co-Pilot?

And if that is the case, what would be the minimum capacity that would enable some (<10) of our members to use Fabric & Co-Pilot enabled to build pipelines and interact with the data in natural language to gain insights etc?

Many thanks

The Fabric trial capacity does not include Copilot functionality. According to the information available, Copilot and Trusted Workspace Access are not supported in the trial version of Microsoft Fabric.

To enable a small number of your members (less than 10) to use Fabric and Copilot, you would need to invest in at least an F capacity. Specifically, an F64 capacity would allow your team to create and use Fabric items, including building pipelines and utilizing Copilot to interact with data in natural language. This setup would also allow users with Free licenses to view Power BI content with the appropriate viewer role.

If you decide to proceed with the F capacity, it will provide the necessary resources for your team to effectively trial the capabilities of Fabric and Copilot without needing to invest in capacity for the entire organization right away.
