How do I get the "learn more about this picture" opened in Chrome?

When I double click it, it opens in the microsoft browser despite Chrome being my favorite browser. How do I fix it?

Hi,

At the moment, that’s not supported. Those links are set to open in Microsoft Edge with Bing by design, and there isn’t an option to redirect them to any other browser.

The best thing you can do is share your feedback through the Feedback Hub by pressing Windows + F to open the app. Posting it there allows the team to review the suggestion and lets other users add their upvotes, which can help it get considered in future updates.

Hi Paulo,

Why, 25 years after this well-known antitrust case, is Microsoft still hard-coding specific browsers (and search engines!!) to open https links?

The setting a default browser functionality was added in Windows in 2003... specifically because of the judgment in that case. It's been supported for 23 years.

When can we expect this to change... 2041? :)

To ensure that links open in Chrome instead of Microsoft Edge, you can check your default browser settings in Windows 11. Here’s how to do it:

Open Settings: Click on the Start menu and select Settings.
Apps: In the Settings window, click on Apps.
Default Apps: Select Default apps from the left sidebar.
Set Chrome as Default: Scroll down to find Google Chrome and click on it. Then, set it as the default for HTTP and HTTPS links by clicking on the respective options and selecting Chrome.
