Other Intune-related topics, including unsupported scenarios and platform-specific behaviors
To set up a call center environment in Intune that meets your requirements, you can use the Multi-app kiosk mode. This mode allows you to run multiple applications, including Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, while restricting access to specific websites. Here’s how you can configure this effectively:
- Select Kiosk Mode: Choose Multi-app kiosk in the Intune configuration settings.
- User Logon Type: For auto-login, select Auto logon (Windows 10 version 1803 and later). This will allow the kiosk to operate without requiring user credentials.
- Allowed Applications: Add both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge to the allowed applications list. You can do this by selecting the applications from the Microsoft Store for Business or by adding Win32 apps if you have them packaged.
- Allowed Websites: Use the settings to restrict access to specific websites. You can upload a .csv file that includes a list of allowed websites, or you can specify rules to block certain sites.
- Configuration Settings: Ensure that you configure the settings to show or hide navigation buttons as needed, and set idle time for refreshing the browser session.
- Profile Creation: Follow the steps to create the profile in the Intune admin center:
- Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center.
- Select Devices > Manage devices > Configuration > Create > New policy.
- Enter the necessary properties and select Create.
- In Configuration settings, choose the kiosk mode and configure the applications and restrictions as mentioned above.
For more detailed steps, you can refer to the official Intune documentation on configuring kiosk settings.
