Delete a disk from a non-existent VM in Azure

I'm having trouble migrating resources from one subscription to another. I finally managed to migrate.

Now, in the old subscription, only disks remain. When I try to delete them, it gives an error that they are managed by virtual machines or "This OS disk is managed by MYS-AZ-MTgate. Please swap the OS disk before deleting this disk." But there are no virtual machines.

Need assistance to delete disks

As I have described, there are no VMs. suggested command Get-AzVM -ResourceGroupName "MYS-Servers" returns nothing.

While reviewing this issue with our engineering (Disk RP) team, they noticed from backend logs that several resources were moved last summer. However, it appears that a Storage Account might not have been included in that migration.

Could you please confirm if a resource move was performed in this environment and whether the associated Storage Account was also moved as part of that activity?

As per the engineering team, if the storage account was not moved during the migration, completing the migration for that account may help resolve the issue with the disks as well.

Hi Yordan

The issue was escalated to the Engineering team after the deletion operation was blocked due to a stale VM/disk association. Engineering performed a backend fix to remove the blocking metadata/lease, following which the resource was successfully deleted. Customer confirmed the deletion and verified that no resources remain in the subscription.
