Member can upload files but cannot move them between libraries

Hi!

I have different permission groups and one user is telling me that he can upload files, but he upload one in a wrong folder and when trying to move it from one to another it gets him an error of permission denied. It has the same permission in all folders of that library, the permission is: edit files.

Should I add another one?

When using InPrivate windows in Microsoft Edge and Incognito windows in Google Chrome, will the content be able to be moved to another folder?
Do you create an Edit permission that does not allow deleting content within the library? Since the Move function will need to delete content from the current folder and create new content in the destination.
What is the error code showing while moving the file? Could you please provide us with a screenshot of the error? Make sure that all personal information is hidden before sending.
With the same content, if another user moves it to another location, will it work?
The user that is having the issue, can he/she move other content without any issues?

The group has edit file permission, when I put the member with permission total control he could do it, so my guess is that is the level of permission "edit file". I think I should add another to that one to be able to move the files.

The error was: Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or to access this resource.

From the screenshot you shared, it appears that the sharing permission applied to the folder is a custom permission. This type of permission can sometimes restrict certain actions, including deletion. As a result, the user may encounter the “Access Denied” error when attempting to delete items.

To verify whether the issue is permission‑related, please try assigning either Edit or Contribute permission to the user and check again if the deletion works as expected.
