Microsoft Project is a separate licence that you can purchase a subscription for from the Microsoft Planner website here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/planner/microsoft-planner-plans-and-pricing
You will need to purchase, or try, Planner & Project Plan 3
You can also do a one time purchase from the same website above. Please just click onto 'One-time purchase'
This will show individual plans for the product licence. The only problem is that the software is only available on Windows 10 or later. Another user had the same question last year, and was told to use the web version of Project on a Mac as a workaround.
