Have you purchased the version of Office you want? For example, did you purchase Office Home 2024?

Note that installation is done via your associated Microsoft account.

If you are concerned with the name of the downloaded installation file, note that it will be the same no matter if you have a perpetual license or if you have a subscription version. For example, you may see "365" in the file name, but it is still the correct install package.

If you haven't already purchased Office 2024 with Outlook or without Outlook, you can get them from the links I've posted.

If you've bought then software and need to reinstall, you can do that from the Subscriptions page of your Microsoft account.

To install Microsoft Office Home on your Mac instead of Microsoft 365, you will need to follow these steps:

    1. Purchase Office Home: Ensure you have purchased the Office Home version that you want to install.
    2. Sign in to Your Microsoft Account: Go to the Microsoft account services page at https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the account that you used to purchase Office Home.
    3. Locate Your Product: Under the "Services & subscriptions" section, find your Office Home product listed there.
    4. Download the Installer: Click on the "Install" button next to your Office Home product to download the installer for the version you purchased.
    5. Run the Installer: Once the download is complete, open the installer and follow the prompts to install Office Home on your Mac.
    6. Activate Office: After installation, open any Office app (like Word or Excel) and sign in with the same Microsoft account to activate your Office Home version.

By following these steps, you should be able to install Microsoft Office Home directly on your Mac without opting for Microsoft 365.
