To cancel your Microsoft 365 subscription, follow these steps based on your billing account type:
If you have an MCA billing account type:
- Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
- If you're using the Simplified view, select Subscriptions. If you're using the Dashboard view, go to Billing > Your products.
- Select the subscription you want to cancel.
- In the Billing settings section, under Subscription status, select Cancel subscription.
- If you're within the grace period, select a reason for canceling, provide optional feedback, and then select Cancel subscription. If you're outside the grace period, you can only turn off recurring billing.
- Repeat the steps to cancel all active subscriptions.
If you have an MOSA billing account type:
- Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
- If you're using the Simplified view, select Subscriptions. If you're using the Dashboard view, go to Billing > Your products.
- Select the subscription you want to cancel.
- In the Subscription and payment settings section, select Cancel subscription.
- Choose to cancel now or before the next renewal date, then select a reason for canceling and confirm.
- Repeat the steps to cancel all active subscriptions.
Make sure to save any important data before canceling, as users will lose access to their data once the cancellation becomes effective.
