An integrated threat protection solution designed to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats across Microsoft 365 services.
If you are not receiving the code on your phone to access your school email via the Microsoft Authenticator app, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check your phone settings: Ensure that your phone is set up to receive text messages and that there are no blocks on your number from receiving messages from unknown senders.
- Try multiple attempts: Microsoft suggests that users attempt to request the code up to five times within five minutes. This can sometimes help if there are temporary issues with the service.
- Use alternative verification methods: If you have set up other options for security verification, select Other verification options when prompted and try again using a different method.
- Contact your school’s IT support: Since this is a school email, it may be best to reach out to your school's IT department. They can check if your account is configured correctly and if there are any issues on their end.
- Check for third-party app interference: Sometimes, third-party security apps can block verification messages. If you have such apps installed, consider disabling them temporarily.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to ask your school’s administrator to reset your MFA settings so you can set up the Authenticator app again.
