I tried insider beta. No XBOX FSE. I upgraded to DEV the toggle is there for FSE but it does not launch. The part where you select the XBOX app is not showing. I can enable xbox full screen. But it is absolutely not FSE. Now I am stuck with A DEV build that does nothing for me. How can I leave DEV mode without reinstalling windows. I only just recovered from the last windows problem? I was hoping FSE would stop windows from interrupting my gameplay???

Please help!

To leave Developer Mode on your Xbox without reinstalling Windows, you can switch back to Retail Mode. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Press the Home button on your controller.
    2. If you see Dev Home, you are in Developer Mode. Look for the Leave developer mode button to switch back to Retail Mode.
    3. If you do not see the option, ensure that you are running the Dev Mode Activation app to facilitate the switch.

Regarding the Full Screen Experience (FSE), if you have enabled it but it is not functioning as expected, it may be due to the current state of your system or the specific build you are using. Make sure your Xbox app and Gaming Services are up to date, as these updates can sometimes resolve issues related to FSE.

If you continue to experience problems, consider checking for any updates or troubleshooting steps specific to the Xbox app or your current build settings.

I upgraded from the Insider Beta channel to the Dev channel specifically to try the Xbox Full Screen Experience (FSE). Although the toggle for FSE appears in the Dev build, the feature does not function correctly. The Xbox app selection screen never appears, and enabling the toggle only results in normal fullscreen behavior, not a true Full Screen Experience.

I am now stuck on a Dev build that provides no benefit for my use case. I upgraded solely to prevent Windows interruptions during gameplay, but FSE is clearly incomplete or nonfunctional at this time.

I would like to know how to leave the Dev channel and return to a stable or Release Preview build without reinstalling Windows, as I recently recovered from a serious Windows issue and cannot risk a clean installation.

Please advise on the safest way to exit the Dev channel without data loss, and clarify the current status and functionality of Xbox Full Screen Experience, as it is not working as expected in the Dev build.
