Yesterday (Feb-03-2025) Microsoft Autoupdate prompted me to update Microsoft 365 from version 16.107.26012815 to new version 16.107.26020212.

The update process went fine and all M365 apps work fine , with exception of Microsoft Outlook.

Microsoft Outlook crash when startup and opening Microsoft Support App. I have reported the issue.

The solution is that I have to restore the previous version 16.107.28012815 that work. After restored and Outlook is opened, I check the version, it show version 16.107.26010212 instead of 16.107.26012815. Check for Updates open Microsoft Autoupdate and run to update me to 16.107.26012815 and it run OK.

Check for update using Microsoft Autoupdate app after that give me Error, stated that some apps cannot be updated.

I have go online with Microsoft 365 Tech support. They said I have to wait for a new update for a couple of days.

I have check again after 24 hours, the same download and install error still persist in Microsoft Autoupdate app.

Any friend here experienced the same issue as I do? How can I fix this? My Mac is MBP M1 running the latest version of macOS Tahoe 26.3 beta 3

Any advice would be appreciated.

It seems you are experiencing a crash with Microsoft Outlook after updating to version 16.107.26020212 on your MacBook Pro M1 running macOS Tahoe. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check for Updates: Since you mentioned that Microsoft Autoupdate gave you an error stating that some apps cannot be updated, ensure that you are running the latest version of Microsoft 365. Sometimes, subsequent updates are released to fix issues in previous versions.
    2. Reinstall Outlook: If the problem persists, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling Microsoft Outlook. This can help resolve any issues related to corrupted files during the update.
    3. Check Compatibility: Ensure that the version of Outlook you are trying to use is compatible with your macOS version. Sometimes, beta versions of macOS can cause compatibility issues with applications.
    4. Contact Support: Since you have already contacted Microsoft 365 Tech support, continue to follow up with them for any updates regarding the issue. They may provide a patch or a workaround.
    5. Rollback to Previous Version: If you find that the latest version is causing issues and you need immediate access to Outlook, consider rolling back to the previous version that worked for you, as you have done before.
    6. Check System Logs: You can also check the Console app on your Mac for any error messages related to Outlook that might provide more insight into the crash.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, waiting for a new update as advised by Microsoft support may be necessary.
