I can see there’s a Q&A Assist reply under your post. To avoid repeating it, could you tell me whether you’ve tried those steps yet, and what happens when you try?
In the meantime, please kindly try this workaround:
- Open Outlook on the web in a browser.
- Go to the People pane.
- Under your mailbox, select Favorites and delete all Favorites contacts

If syncing doesn’t resume after this workaround, please try to remove and re-add the Gmail account in Outlook for Mac.
