    Hello Vicki Ferguson

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I’m sorry this has started disrupting your work.

I can see there’s a Q&A Assist reply under your post. To avoid repeating it, could you tell me whether you’ve tried those steps yet, and what happens when you try?

In the meantime, please kindly try this workaround:

    • Open Outlook on the web in a browser.
    • Go to the People pane.
    • Under your mailbox, select Favorites and delete all Favorites contacts

You can see the official workaround here: Outlook for Mac and Outlook Mobile intermittently stop syncing - Microsoft Support

If syncing doesn’t resume after this workaround, please try to remove and re-add the Gmail account in Outlook for Mac.

Please feel free to let me know how it goes. Thank you for your time and understanding.

If Outlook for Mac has stopped syncing with Gmail, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve the issue:

    1. Check Your Internet Connection: Ensure that your Mac is connected to the internet.
    2. Update Outlook: Make sure you are using the latest version of Outlook for Mac. Sometimes, updates can resolve syncing issues.
    3. Re-add Your Gmail Account: You can try removing your Gmail account from Outlook and then adding it back. This can refresh the connection.
      • Go to Tools > Accounts and select your Gmail account to remove it.
      • After removing, add it back by selecting Add Account and following the prompts.
    4. Check Gmail Settings: Ensure that IMAP is enabled in your Gmail settings. Go to your Gmail account settings, under Forwarding and POP/IMAP, and check that IMAP is enabled.
    5. Enable Logging: If the problem persists, you can enable logging in Outlook to gather more information about the issue. This can help in troubleshooting.
      • Go to the Window menu, select Sync Errors, then click the Gear icon and choose Turn on logging for troubleshooting. Restart Outlook and reproduce the issue.
    6. Check for Conflicts: Sometimes, other applications or settings on your Mac can interfere with Outlook's ability to sync. Ensure that no other email clients are accessing the same Gmail account simultaneously.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
