Has anyone seen this before where a kids xbox account constantly asks you to "set a password" , you set one, and then it asks you to set one again. It even has you verify it.

Using the xbox family app, theres no way to see/change/add a password.

My child cannot use the xbox whatsoever, because his account is locked due to this requirement.

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with your child's Xbox account being stuck in a loop when trying to set a password. This can happen sometimes due to account settings or restrictions placed on child accounts. Here are a few steps you might consider trying to resolve this issue:

    1. Use a Different Device: Sometimes, using a different device or browser to access the Xbox Family app can help. This may bypass any glitches that are occurring on the current device.
    2. Clear Cache: If you are using a web browser, try clearing the cache or using an incognito mode to see if that helps with the password setting process.
    3. Check Family Settings: Ensure that the family settings are correctly configured. You might need to log in with the parent account to review and adjust the settings for the child account.
    4. Contact Support: If the issue persists, it may be best to contact Microsoft Support for assistance. They can provide guidance specific to your situation and help you regain access to the account.

Unfortunately, the context provided does not contain specific troubleshooting steps for this exact issue, but the general advice above should help you move forward.
