PC App Store won't uninstall AND I'm getting pop-ups that block my screen!!! - SOLUTION FOUND!

Since I can't figure out how to RESPOND to the other questions, I'll put the ANSWER here! If you downloaded PC App Store and now are stuck with pop ups and/or are unable to simply 'uninstall' (the usual ways like through Control Panel); or if, like me, you're being told you can't uninstall as you aren't the administrator (and you know you ARE the administrator), try what I got from Avast Premium Security:

Restart by HOLDING DOWN SHIFT KEY and hitting Windows button (this puts your computer in Safe Mode)
Troubleshoot - Advanced Startup Settings - Restart
Choose #4 or hit F4, then do the usual uninstall procedures.
Restart computer again, it should be gone.

I was amazed at Chat on Avast - the bot gave simple, step by step instructions and if one thing didn't work, it tried something else. This company rocks!

I have the same problem on a windows 10 laptop. I CANT GET TO SAFE MODE! Shift + Win doesnt work. Please help!

I had the same problem of not being able to uninstall PC App Store on my computer. I kept getting the pop up wanting me to create an account and put in my credit card number, which I was not about to do. I followed all the advice I could gather to uninstall with no success. After much frustration and a few hours later; I finally read somewhere that I needed to disconnect my WiFi and restart computer then go about uninstalling the usual way. AND IT WORKED!!! That was the trick. Disconnect your WiFi first; then restart computer and use your start button>control panel >programs>uninstall a program > programs and features > scroll down to the one you want to uninstall and uninstall it 👏👏👏👍. Hope this helps you. I wish I could remember where I read this to give credit where credit is due. But I’ve read so much and tried so much, I can’t remember. GOOD LUCK 🍀

This program(PC App Store) loaded when I downloaded and installed VLC. I then had a screen come up that I couldn't close. I wanted me to create an account which I didn't try to do. I tried to close the screen by going to task manager but although task manager appeared on the task bar it wouldn't show on my screen.

I then booted into safe mode and after trying several other things that didn't work I restored from a previous restore point. That got rid of my problem with the screen that wouldn't close but I now have an icon on my desktop for PC App Store that points to c:\users<my name>\PC App Store. The folder is there with many subfolders.

I tried to uninstall it from Settings but it doesn't appear in the list of my installed apps. I don't want to just delete the icon and the folders for fear I am not getting rid of everything.

Any suggestions for how I can get rid of it completely?

I have tried these steps & was unsuccessful. I can't get into safe mode & the PC App Store has blocked me from getting into the settings to disconnect the WiFi as someone else commented. @PcAppStorehater-5640 did you select "Allow PC App Store make changes to your PC"? I did not hit yes & it still won't uninstall.

I had to exit via control -alt-delete. I restarted after un plugging wifi. I had to go to lower right to exit the pc app screen. Then uninstalled, and deleted set up in File Explorer. Seemed to be fine shutting down and then restarting with wifi plugged in.
