Hello @attila koszti,
Thank you for reaching out to the Q&A forum!
I understand that this issue is important and directly affects your work or studies. So, please follow my answer below, as I have helped many users in similar situations and this approach has worked successfully.
Since this is a school/university account, the ability to recover MFA is managed by your organization’s IT department. Microsoft cannot directly intervene in organizational accounts.
So, you need to contact your Helpdesk or IT team and request them to:
Revoke or reset your MFA settings in the Microsoft Entra Admin Center (remove the current authentication methods).
For step-by-step details, refer to the official Microsoft documentation: Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra ID |…
Once your IT administrator resets your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) settings, the next time you sign in to your organization’s resources, you will be prompted to set up new security verification methods, such as re‑registering Microsoft Authenticator or adding a phone number as a backup option.
I understand that this situation can be a bit complicated to contact your school’s IT department, but only your school's IT department can access the backend settings for your Microsoft 365 account.
Find Your Microsoft 365 Admin: If you’re unsure who the Global Admin is within your school, you can find guidance on locating them here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support
Although I am a forum moderator and do not have access to your backend systems to help you directly, I have provided a detailed guide above that you can share with your school’s IT department.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
