Yay. Thank you! This allowed me to install. Now I need to be able to activate office.
Hope you don't mind me asking more questions. After "activating" it said it couldn't activate but can use the products for free. For how long. Seems temporary. Bet there needs to be a "fix" for the activation of the old version. They sure do not make it easy.

Hi , I am using macOS Catalina 10.15.8 and been trying to install office. However, if keep showing "Unknown error. An unknown error has occurred. The error code is 0x0.". I had removed office, do some clearing in the containers. Try reinstall 2 times and it still show the same errors. Can some assist to advise.

I contacted Office support by chat and he sent me a link to an older version of Office the worked with Catalina.
Unfortunately the link was within the chat so I no longer have it
