How can Microsoft forget about the "obsolescence programmée" law in France and stop parts supply for a perfectly working computer which remain more performant than some new ones ?

Please provide a legally acceptable answer that will avoid me requesting the French state to take action against Microsoft.

I am sorry but discontinuing support on spare parts such as battery is a planned obsolescence. You are suppressing the replacement of a key element of a laptop that is likely to fail after a duration and which replacement can support the continuity of the product. By removing access to that part, and as Microsoft as stated in another of their posting, clearly indicating programmed obsolescence, you believe that after 6 years it is time to change the computer.

By the way you also indicate that using another battery than the one provided by microsoft can impact the functionning of the computer

Your decision to prevent access and replacement through microsoft authorised dealers of the battery mandate any user with a battery problem to change the computer. This is programmed obsolescence.
