Excel has disappeared from the start menu. Word and PPT are still there.

I unpinned excel in the start menu (not knowing what to do). I then downloaded Microsoft Office and was able to pin excel to the task. How can I get excel back in the start menu.

Open your Start Menu.

Click the All button to see the long alphabetical list of installed apps.

Drag Excel from the long alphabetical list onto your Desktop.

That will create a new Desktop icon for Excel, right click that and select 'Pin to Start'

You can then delete the Excel icon from your Desktop if you wish.
