Links which I have added to a Sway document keep disappearing

I have added links to a Sway document - as I usually do - but when the document is refreshed the links have disappeared. This has happened multiple times now - and I have tried links to various sources and the same thing happens. This seems to be a glitch with Sway and not an issue with the links. Help please!

    Dear @Clare Rich

Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

Based on your description, I understand that you’ve been adding links to a Sway document as usual, but they keep disappearing whenever the document is refreshed. You’ve tried links from different sources, and the issue persists.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this issue.

To understand the situation better and provide you with the most suitable support, could you confirm the following information:

    • Are you accessing Sway through a web browser or the desktop app? If it’s a browser, which one are you using? Please try opening your Sway in a different browser (such as Firefox) or in an Incognito/Private window and let me know if the behavior is the same?
    • Have you noticed if the links disappear immediately after saving or only after refreshing/reopening the document?
    • Does it show any error message/notice after you refreshed the Sway document?
    • I could see that you posted your question in the 'For education' forum, may I ask if other people in the same institution/organization are experiencing the same issue?
    • Could you try to clear your browser’s cache and cookies and check if the issue persists?
    • If possible, try accessing Sway from a different network (like a mobile hotspot) to rule out any connectivity or firewall issues and see if it works normally afterwards

Your confirmation would be very helpful in ensuring you receive the most suitable support!

Regarding this situation, I tested adding links in Sway using both the browser and the desktop app, and in my tests, the links stayed intact after refreshing.

This is the one that I created a new document in Sway via a browser (Edge):

    User's image

Then I created a new one in Sway desktop app:

    User's image

I refreshed the one created in desktop app in the browser and I didn't encounter the same issue:
    User's image

If you’re able to share a bit more about your situation, I might be able to suggest some helpful next steps.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Kindly let me know when there are updates or if you need further assistance. Any updates you’re able to share would be really helpful. I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing how things are going!

Thank you for your time and patience.
