Copilot file uploads are truncated

I am having persistent issues trying to upload relatively small (100K) text file to my copilot agent. The agent keeps saying the file has been truncated silently and says it can offer no insights as to why this happened.
This is impacting my ability to use copilot as intended. Why is this happening, and why isn't more feedback about why its happening available?
