Hi,We are aware that Microsoft stopped offering Azure Lab Services to new customers. However, Azure Lab Services remains in active production use for existing tenants and has not yet reached its announced retirement date. As such, Microsoft remains responsible for maintaining baseline service functionality for existing customers.

For the past two weeks, the Azure Lab Services integration with Microsoft Teams has been non-functional. The integration fails consistently with the generic message:

“Internal Server Error. Please try again later.”

This failure is blocking scheduled academic labs and directly impacting instructional delivery for the current semester.

We raised this issue in the Labs Community forum and have received no acknowledgement or response.

Given that Azure Lab Services remains operational for existing customers, the absence of any public incident acknowledgement, guidance, or remediation path is concerning.

Our organization does not maintain a paid Azure support plan. However, that does not remove Microsoft’s obligation to keep the platform operational until the announced retirement date, particularly for platform-level failures that are not tenant-configurable.

We require clarification on the following:

Is this a known service incident affecting Azure Lab Services – Microsoft Teams integration?

If so, what is the scope, root cause, and expected resolution timeline?

If not, what supported remediation path exists for affected tenants?
