Changing between multiple Teams Free accounts within the app or browser
To delete a corporate Teams account after leaving an organization, you typically need to ensure that your account is removed from the organization's Microsoft 365 environment. If your account is still active, it may continue to prompt you for login on your personal computer. Here are the general steps you can take:
- Contact Your Former Employer: Reach out to your former employer's IT department or administrator to request the deletion of your account. They can initiate the removal of your account from their Microsoft 365 tenant.
- Remove the Account from Your Device: On your personal computer, you can remove the Teams application and clear any saved credentials. This can typically be done through the settings of the Teams app or by uninstalling it completely.
- Clear Cached Credentials: You may also want to clear any cached credentials in Windows Credential Manager that may be causing Teams to prompt for login.
If your organization uses Active Directory, the account deletion will need to be handled through that system, and you will not be able to delete it yourself from Microsoft Teams directly.
