How to transfer time for xbox game pass essential to xbox pc game pass

I accidentally got a xbox game pass essential gift card and now I realize that I need xbox pc game pass. I tried to transfer the time by changing my subscription but instead it only let me try and get the xbox pc game pass along with my essential instead of transferring. I don't want ultimate I want pc game pass.
