Microsoft project management software used to plan, manage, and communicate a project schedule and other information among workgroup members, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Hi @Joseph Nnodim,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
To set up the free Microsoft Planner and Project Plan 3 subscription, you can follow these steps:
1/ Register for a free subscription
- Sign up for a free Planner and Project Plan 3 subscription and follow the prompt to proceed (which you have already done).
- During sign‑up, Microsoft creates your tenant (e.g., yourtenant.onmicrosoft.com) and an initial admin user (e.g., ******@yourtenant.onmicrosoft.com). You will need to save these credentials since this is what you’ll use for admin.microsoft.com.
2/ Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Go to admin.microsoft.com and sign in with your work/school admin (the …@onmicrosoft.com account above).
- If you're prompt to set up your organization domain, you can follow the guidance in these articles:
(+) Add a domain to Microsoft 365 - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn
(+) Add DNS records to connect your domain - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn
3/ Assign the Plan 3 license for your account
- In the admin center, go to Users > Active users > choose the user (yourself) → Licenses & apps, ensure Planner and Project Plan 3 is assigned. If not, toggle it on and save.
- After assigning a license successfully, you can download and use Project desktop and Planner web app now.
Hope this information will be helpful. If you have any questions or need additional help, please feel free to ask them in the comments so that I can continue to support you.
