I can see my Hyper-v server showing connected as connection status, I can see my Hyper-v sites showing connected to a hyper-v server but i can't click on Target setting to continue my ASR deployment

Hello Lban Client, It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with accessing the Target settings for your Azure Site Recovery (ASR) deployment, even though your Hyper-V server and sites appear to be connected

Even if the server shows Connected, the ASR wizard won’t unlock Target settings until the server is explicitly mapped to a Hyper‑V Site.

• Navigate: Recovery Services Vault → Site Recovery Infrastructure → Hyper‑V Hosts
• Check the Hyper‑V Site column. If blank/None → associate the server with a site.
• Wait for the Associate job to complete before retrying.

If you recently installed the ASR provider or registered the server, there may be a background job still "In Progress."

• Go to Vault > Site Recovery Jobs.
• Look for any jobs like "Registering server" or "Refreshing site."
• If a job is stuck at 90% or 0%, the portal will keep the Target settings locked to prevent configuration conflicts.

Verify Resource Provider Registration

If your Azure Subscription doesn't have the necessary Resource Providers active, the portal can't load the "Target" options (like storage accounts or networks).

• Go to your Subscription > Resource Providers.
• Ensure these are Registered:
• Microsoft.RecoveryServices
• Microsoft.Storage
  • Microsoft.Compute
  • Microsoft.Network

• Are there any error messages or notifications appearing when you try to click on the Target settings?

The error message I got is to add a Hyper-v server which I've already done by downloading, installing and registering my RecoveryProvider but I'm surprised I can't select it. If i tried to start the process afresh despite being able to see my earlier hyper-v site and hyper-v server under site recovery infrastructure, it will ask me to create a new one.
