Co-Pilot has taken me on a multi-hour because I asked it to summarize a long deposition. Chat suggests I have uploading issues, because Co-Pilot cannot see all of my uploaded data. Need help figuring out what I am doing wrong. If I can attach the chat, Ie

The attached Chat describes all of the steps I used to try to get a summary of a deposition. Co-Pilot first asked me to split the large PDF file I uploaded. Then it gave me a detailed summary of the contents, but I had asked for a line-by-line summary (really meaning page-by-page). When I asked for that, it could not read what it had already read to generate the summaries it provided to me. Each time, i was asked to upload files I had already uploaded, until I was told I had reached my daily limit.

This is one of the basic uses AI can have for an attorney and should not be that difficult and frustrating. If Co-Pilot cannot do this task, then I question its marketing.

I do not need to be told that sometimes files need to be broken into smaller segments. I di d that, and they system should not require the same information to produce results in a different format. I did ask for the format in the first request listed in the chat. Co-Pilot chose to give me something else, and then when I asked for a different format (which was what I had requested in the first place) then it hit my file limit. Ultimately it told me to recombine all the pdfs I had made and upload them as a single document.

If this process just generates an automatic AI-Generated answer, then it will not be useful. Microsoft should supply helpful assistance in using Co-Pilot, not an endless string of useless suggestions.
