If you have lost your phone that runs the authenticator app and cannot access your SharePoint account due to Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) being enabled, you will need to follow these steps to regain access:
- Use Alternative Verification Methods: If you have set up other options for security verification, select Other verification options on the login page and try to use a different method to verify your identity.
- Contact Support: If you cannot access any alternative verification methods, you will need to contact your organization's IT support or Microsoft support. They can assist you in resetting your MFA settings or provide you with a temporary access method.
- Reset MFA: Your IT admin can reset your MFA settings, allowing you to set it up again with a new authenticator app once you have access to your account.
- Set Up a New Authenticator: After regaining access, you can install a new authenticator app on a new device and set it up for your SharePoint account.
Make sure to also update your security information in your account settings to avoid similar issues in the future.
