Hi,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft Community! Let me guide you on how to delete songs from Media Player. First, if you want to remove a song from your library, open Windows Media Player, go to the Library tab, and navigate to Music > Songs or Albums. Find the track you want to delete, right-click it, and choose Delete. You’ll see two options:
Delete from library only (keeps the file on your computer)
Delete from library and computer (removes the file completely)
Pick the one that suits your needs.
Second, if the song is part of a playlist, open Windows Media Player, go to Playlists, select the playlist, right-click the song, and choose Remove from list. This only removes it from the playlist, not from your computer.
Last, if you want to clean up your library without losing files, always select Delete from library only. This way, your music stays on your PC but is no longer shown in Media Player.
I hope this helps you organize your music easily. If you need more guidance feel free to ask.
Warm regards,
Edward
