Hi,

Im not sure what happened but when i finished charging my chromebook,

this suddenly appeared. I haven’t updated it in a while, so maybe it was because of that. I resetted it, and even rebooted it but it still has the pixels! I don’t know what to do. Help! The pixels are green, and are vibrating!! (It wont let me post a pic of the laptop)

It sounds like you are experiencing a display issue with your Chromebook, specifically with green vibrating pixels. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check Connections: Ensure that the display cable connections (if accessible) are secure. Sometimes, loose connections can cause display issues.
    2. Update Drivers: Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. You can check for updates in the settings of your Chromebook.
    3. Adjust Hardware Acceleration: If your Chromebook allows, try reducing hardware acceleration settings. This can sometimes resolve display glitches.
    4. Reset Display Settings: You can reset your display settings to default, which may help in resolving the issue.
    5. External Monitor Test: If possible, connect your Chromebook to an external monitor. If the issue persists on the external display, it may indicate a hardware problem with the Chromebook itself.
    6. Factory Reset: If none of the above steps work, consider performing a factory reset on your Chromebook. Make sure to back up your data before doing this.

If the problem continues after trying these steps, it may be a hardware issue, and you might need to contact support or consider professional repair.

Your image indicates a problem with the graphics drivers most likely.

Start your laptop, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

    Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - Startup Settings and click Restart

Upon restart, press 5 to enter Safe Mode

Once in Safe Mode, open Device Manager, expand the Display Adapters section, and uninstall the graphics drivers.

Then, restart your laptop to check if Windows has installed a new graphics driver and if that resolves the problem.
