Xbox app on PC filters out M rated games, even though i am above 18 and the DOB is correct on my account.

When I initially made my Microsoft account, I accidentally made the account a child account. Now, after I fixed it, the Xbox app for PC is not showing games rated M on the game pass catalogue, and when I search for them, it tells me that search results may be filtered due to my age. I can see and download M-rated games on game pass through the Microsoft Store, but there is nothing on the Xbox app itself. Can someone please help me?
