My current tenant is older. Trying to implement fabric. There are fabric options missing.

I have an older tenant. I'm owner and global admin. I added a F2 Fabric capacity. Howerver, the options I see are only power bi and developer.

Searching the web it appears I need to enable some Fabric items in my tenant that do not exist. Research suggests that my tenant needs upgrading and only Microsoft can do this.

    Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

    Faqs:

    1. Being global admin + owner and adding F2 Fabric capacity is not sufficient.
    2. In older tenants, Fabric workloads are not provisioned at the tenant backend.
    3. That is why you only see PBI and Developer options.
    4. The Fabric admin settings do not appear because they literally do not exist for that tenant.
    5. You cannot self upgrade this. There is no UI switch to fix it.

Your tenant is an older one and Fabric is not enabled at the backend. Even though you are a global admin and have added F2 Fabric capacity, older tenants do not automatically get Fabric workloads, so you only see Power BI and Developer options. There is no selfservice setting to fix this. Microsoft support must explicitly upgrade or enable Fabric for your tenant at the platform level.
