Can't get 50 points from "Lock and Key" Prompt

Matthew Crome 60 Reputation points

This is driving me unnecessarily up a wall but Microsoft Rewards is offering 50 points for the "Lock and Key" prompt on the dashboard, which asks the user to check out security features on Edge. After at least 10-20 minutes total of frustrated clicking over the past few days, I cannot figure out what is going wrong or what I am doing wrong. How am I supposed to get these 50 points? I've checked out all of the Security features and have not been awarded them.

Hi Matthew Crome, I can see why this is driving you up the wall spending time clicking through settings and still not getting the points feels unfair and exhausting.

Clear Microsoft.com and Bing.com cookies in Edge then open the Lock and Key link in an InPrivate window to complete the steps. Make sure your account region matches Rewards disable any adblockers and if it still doesn’t work submit a screenshot to Microsoft Rewards Support for manual credit.

When you tried the Lock and Key activity did you open it in a regular Edge session or an InPrivate window and were any adblockers or privacy extensions active that might block the completion signal?

Best regards

Lucky

To earn the 50 points from the "Lock and Key" prompt in Microsoft Rewards, you need to ensure that you are fully engaging with the security features in Microsoft Edge as specified in the prompt. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Explore Security Settings: Make sure you are navigating through all the security settings available in Microsoft Edge. This includes checking features like tracking prevention, password manager settings, and any other security-related options.
    2. Complete All Tasks: Sometimes, specific tasks or actions need to be completed to qualify for the points. Ensure that you are not just viewing the settings but also interacting with them, such as enabling features or adjusting settings.
    3. Check for Updates: Ensure that your Microsoft Edge browser is updated to the latest version, as sometimes features or rewards may not work correctly in older versions.
    4. Wait for Points to Reflect: After completing the tasks, there might be a delay in the points reflecting in your account. Give it some time and check back later.
    5. Review Offers: Occasionally, offers may vary by market or may have specific requirements. Double-check the details of the offer to ensure you meet all criteria.

If you have followed these steps and still do not see the points, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.
