To install an operating system on the Orange Pi PC v1.3, follow these general steps:

    1. Download the OS: Ensure you have downloaded the correct OS image for the Orange Pi PC from the official Orange Pi website. Verify the integrity of the downloaded file using SHA256.
    2. Prepare the microSD Card: Use a tool like Rufus to write the OS image to the microSD card. Make sure to select the correct device and follow the prompts to create a bootable microSD card.
    3. Insert the microSD Card: Once the writing process is complete, safely eject the microSD card from your computer and insert it into the Orange Pi PC.
    4. Power On the Device: Connect the Orange Pi to a power source. The red LED indicator near the microSD slot should light up, indicating that the board is powered on.
    5. HDMI Connection: Ensure that your HDMI cable is properly connected to the Orange Pi and the display. If the display remains blank, check the following:
      • Ensure the display is powered on and set to the correct HDMI input.
      • Try using a different HDMI cable or port.
      • If possible, test the Orange Pi with another monitor to rule out display issues.
    6. Wait for Boot: The Orange Pi may take a few moments to boot up. If the red LED is on and the processor is heating up, it indicates that the board is attempting to boot. However, if there is still no output on the screen after a reasonable time, there may be an issue with the OS image or the microSD card.
    7. Troubleshooting: If you continue to experience issues, consider:
      • Rewriting the OS image to the microSD card, ensuring that the process completes without errors.
      • Trying a different microSD card, as some cards may not be compatible or may have issues.
      • Checking the Orange Pi forums or documentation for specific troubleshooting steps related to your OS and board version.
