I bought more storage about 2 days ago (I think I'm at least nearing the 48 hour period) and it still has not been added to my files. Is there anything I can do or do I just wait?

Hello Brooke,

Thank you for reaching out about your storage purchase not showing up in your files I understand how frustrating it can be to expect additional storage and not see it reflected after waiting for a couple of days. You’ve already taken the right step by purchasing more storage and it’s completely reasonable to want clarity on why it hasn’t appeared yet.

In most cases purchased storage should update within 24 hours but sometimes it can take up to 48 hours due to account synchronization or payment processing delays. To resolve this please confirm that the purchase was completed successfully by checking your subscription status in your account settings. If the storage still isn’t reflected after 48 hours signing out and back into your account or restarting your device can help refresh the changes. If the issue persists contacting Microsoft Support will ensure they can verify and apply the storage to your account.

Could you check your subscription details and let me know if the additional storage appears there?

I hope this answer is helpful if you have further questions feel free to reply back

Regards,

Marcelo

If you purchased additional storage for your SharePoint sites and it is not reflected in your files after 48 hours, it is advisable to check a few things:

  1. Check Storage Usage: In the SharePoint admin center, you can view the amount of storage used across all sites and the total storage for your subscription. This will help confirm if the additional storage has been added.
  2. Data Latency: Be aware that there might be a 48-hour data latency in the usage reports, so it’s possible that the changes have not yet been fully processed.
  3. Contact Support: If after checking these points the storage is still not reflected, consider contacting Microsoft support for assistance.

Waiting a little longer may also be beneficial, as the system might still be updating your storage allocation.
