I purchased Microsoft 365 Personal on the Apple App Store for use on up to five devices. How do I link the purchase to my Microsoft account and load the app on the other four devices?

What if the Microsoft Product was not purchased through the Apple App Store but the Apple Store (proper) -- along with a new laptop? I made such a purchase, received the Microsoft product key in the mail, and installed from the Microsoft Office setup page. So, is it an Apple subscription or a Microsoft subscription? I made this purchase a year ago, July 2015, have used the product for a year, and currently the purchase/subscription is not visible in either location. So, how do I get it in both as currently, Office is uninstalled from my laptop, and I haven't found a way to get it reinstalled.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

It can't be link. Microsoft 365 subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store are managed entirely by Apple. You can confirm this by signing in with your Apple ID and checking Subscriptions in your iCloud settings on an Apple device or online.

Because of this, billing changes, renewals, and cancellations all have to be handled through Apple. You’ll still be able to use Microsoft 365 apps by signing in with your Microsoft account, but the subscription itself will always be controlled by Apple.

I really hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
