I'm on Win11 Insider build. I use phone link to connect to my phone. Connection is perfect, I can use my Phone Camera and Copy & Paste until my PC sleep or hibernation mode. After that no connection is recovered to my Phone. After reboot it works, but it's not usable. Hope someone can help me, recover connection between my phone and pc. Hi Poul E. Rasmussen,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum! I know how frustrating it can be when everything works perfectly until your PC goes to sleep, and then suddenly Phone Link refuses to reconnect.

Here are a few steps that you can try to restore a stable connection:

1 - Reset the Phone Link and Link to Windows apps

    • On your PC: Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Phone Link > Advanced options > Reset
    • On your phone: Open Link to Windows > clear cache > clear app data > sign in again.

2 - Fully unpair and re‑pair your devices

    • Sometimes the original pairing handshake becomes invalid after repeated sleep/hibernation cycles.
    • Remove the PC from “Linked devices” on your phone.
    • On the PC, remove the phone under Bluetooth & Devices > Mobile devices.
    • Pair again using the QR code setup.

3 - Check power & network sleep settings

    • Disable USB selective suspend
    • Allow Bluetooth devices to wake the PC
    • Turn off Fast Startup

You can temporarily prevent the PC from sleeping while plugged in to confirm whether sleep is the cause.

It seems that you are experiencing issues with the Phone Link not recovering the connection after your PC wakes from sleep or hibernation. Unfortunately, the provided context does not contain specific troubleshooting steps for this issue with Phone Link on Windows 11 Insider builds. However, it is generally recommended to ensure that both your PC and phone are updated to the latest versions, and that they remain connected to the same Wi-Fi network after waking from sleep or hibernation.

If the problem persists, you may want to try re-establishing the connection by disconnecting and reconnecting the Phone Link or restarting your PC. Additionally, checking for any updates related to the Phone Link app or your Windows Insider build could also help resolve the issue.
